WHO ARE WE?

Lawson Fofanah Charity Foundation is an organization established to significantly improve the lives of people in need throughout Africa. Our work is about empowering people in Africa by helping to build stronger communities, serve those suffering from disabilities, provide ongoing support for education with school supplies, donating medical equipment to neighborhood clinics, strengthen economies through educating self-sustaining activities, and empowering women in leadership & business. We believe our mission is to cultivate vibrant communities in Africa by providing the information, skills, and services they need to grow.

Founded in New York City

 OUR MISSION 

 

Aware of the level of vulnerability that many community have to go through in Africa and worldwide, The Lawson Fofanah Charity Foundation has found the necessity to intervene and help the needy people. Our foundation serves people with disabilities, providing school materials for children but also empowering women in Africa. We periodically mobilize financial resources send money to support them and provided medical equipment for them.

My name is Ibrahim Lawson Fofanah, I am the founder of the Ibrahim Lawson Fofanah charity foundation. Born and raised in Sierra Leone by Guinean parents.  Iam a businessman, philanthropist, CEO of Abe delivery service and owner of Cafe 2115. Human rights defender, Ambassador for peace and a community leader. Married to Makuta Fofanah with Four children. Born and raised by a philanthropist home In Africa.

We are concerned about community issues and we develop strategies of mitigation by empowering local actors and supporting their initiatives.

We provide mentorship and guidance in dealing with community issues.

ADvocacy

 We are their voice and their mouth, we represent and advocate for their both locally and internationally to ensure their needs are being dressed. This is the reason why we exist

education

Education being the most powerful weapon to change the world, we dedicate our resources and energy to make vulnerable communities have a better access to quality education.

nutrition

Around the world, more than enough food is produced to feed the global population, but as many as 811 million people still go hungry every day. That's why we fight to provide food to local communities.
